This engagement establishes a one-to-one coach and coachee relationship. It is important to refresh the understanding about ‘coaching’ as a subject in order to understand this engagement better. While there are similar sounding services, generally referred as advisory, consulting and mentoring services; coaching is altogether based on a different dimension in the field of empowering and enabling people to achieve their goals. It is based on a fundamental premise that entrepreneurs have all the required resources within them. They are usually so deeply engaged in their routine activities that they are not in the practice of accessing the right resource at the right time. Sometimes, it is also about clarity related to business objectives and goals and connection of our daily activities with defined objectives / goals. The role of a coach is to navigate the coachee through the situation and help him in establishing immense clarity and also empower him to access the right resource required in the situation. Thus, a coach is a friend who helps the coachee to move to the next level on his growth path.
